Telehealth

Telehealth has opened up opportunities for accessing high-quality care with highly trained providers no matter where you live.  Professional psychology is on the forefront of developing interstate licensure agreements to ensure that you can access care from a telehealth trained therapist. Dr. Bates regularly updates her knowledge and practices to offer you the effective telehealth care.  

Dr. Bates' primary activity is providing attentive, specialized psychotherapy for individual adults and for young adults.  Dr. Bates utilizes evidence-based treatment. She finds that using techniques and insights from learning-based psychotherapy models leads to effective care without rigid adherence to a research-based protocol.  Individual care is tailored to a clients challenges and goals.

Continue your therapy when you head off to college or graduate school.  Whether you attend a triangle area university or call the area your home, we can continue to work together with a combination of tele and in-person sessions allowing you to know that you can depend on consistency in your treatment will be cared for during transitions.

Authority for Interjuristictional Practice (APIT) and E. Passport enables Dr. Bates to provide telehealth services in multiple states and territories.  

Dr. Bates regularly works with clients who live in many states and occasionally those in US Territories.  Inquire if you live in a location not listed.  Dr. Bates can consult with you on becoming licensed or authorized in your location.

Meetings in-person offered in Chapel Hill.  Spacious, comfortable, light-filled office with equipped with HEPA air filtration.  Telehealth clients are welcome to attend in office sessions when possible.
